In addition to outstanding dentistry, Dr. Michael Layton believes that listening is the most important skill they can have. They always use the most appropriate dental treatments that will help keep your teeth and gums healthy.

Our entire dental staff stays up to date with the latest technology, and our office is fully equipped to perform every treatment. From dental crowns to porcelain veneers, we will help restore and beautify your smile in a way that works for you.

Our therapy dog, Alfie, greets patients of all ages and reduces any dental anxiety. Our approach is gentle, compassionate dental care in a warm, comfortable environment.

Dr. Michael Layton, DMD


Dr. Layton was born in Alabama and grew up in Orlando. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida and his DMD degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1987. He opened Lakeshore Dental Care in 1989.

He loves the art and science involved in dentistry and regularly improves his skills and knowledge through continuing education.

Dr. Layton enjoys spending time with his family and pets, likes landscaping and participates in High Performance Driving events on road courses in the Southeast.


Office Administrator

A native Floridian, Ginger has more than 30 years of experience in the dental field. Her clinical experience as a dental assistant and administrative skills keep our busy office personalized to meet the individual needs of our patients. Ginger enjoys gardening, her chickens, and loving her grandchildren.


Business Office Administrator

Originally joining the office as a high school intern, Heather is now a seasoned veteran. Heather’s friendly personality helps patients feel welcomed and accommodated. Heather keeps close tabs on the office to make sure everything is running smoothly. Patients love her friendly personality, and Heather loves interacting with them.

Heather stays busy in her free time with her husband, two children, 50 chickens, and her position on the Miss Rodeo Florida and Silver Spurs pageant committees.

Zobida (Zo)

Business Office Financial Coordinator

A native of Trinidad, Zo has over 20 years of experience in the dental field. She works extremely hard on our patients’ behalf in regards to finances, insurance, and scheduling. She is passionate about helping patients get the care that they need. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and visiting her family in Trinidad.


Office Administrator

Janae uses her many years of dental experience to help explain dental procedures and concerns to her patients. Janae’s gentle demeanor provides a personal touch. She enjoys spending time with her family and pets.

Serena, RDH

Dental Hygienist

Raised in Key West, FL, Serena completed her dental hygiene training at Daytona State College. She establishes an environment of genuine care and trust with all of our patients. She is recognized by patients for her caring attitude, attention to detail, and gentle touch.

When she isn't at work Serena enjoys traveling with her family.

Tammy, EFDA

Dental Assistant

Tammy is originally from Michigan. She completed her dental training in Orlando in 1991. She enjoys getting to know her patients as individuals and provides comforting care during their treatment. In her free time, she enjoys creating fused glass art and spending time with her family.


Therapy/Comfort Assistant

Alfie (“Silkspun’s What’s It All About Alfie”) is an English distinction Golden Retriever. He makes it his mission to ensure that our patients are welcomed with affection and comforted if anxious. Alfie brightens everyone’s day!

In his spare time, he spends time with the family, enthusiastically retrieves tennis balls on land and water, and enjoys daily napping.
